This was my first 5K/10K race ever. This was an awesome race to do with friends or individually. The terrain was great to run on and had a beautiful landscape. I felt challenged especially the last 3 miles. The race was for a great cause and had a lot of great competitors. Throughout the race there were officials and spectators constantly encouraging and motivating the athletes. At the finish line a huge crowd applauded everyone as they crossed and were extremely supportive. I felt very emotional as I crossed the finish line. There was also a nice awards ceremony with food and music. The staff and volunteers were all very helpful before, during, and after the race. This event was coordinated and executed with precision and a high level of organization. I will definately do this race again next year! It has also motivated me to continue running & to enter more races!
